Before proceeding, check whether your device's wireless switch is ON.
1. Click on Start, go to Settings and go to Control Panel. In the Control Panel window, go to Network Connections and click Wireless Network Connection.
A much simpler way to do this is to click on the Wireless icon in the notification bar at your desktop.
2. A window showing available wireless network connections will appear. 
3. Select myWiFi and click Connect.
4. In the Network key field, type accessingwifi. Click Connect. The Wireless Network Connection status window will be displayed.

In the Wireless Network Connection window, the status of myWiFi should say you are Connected.
5. Click on Start, go to Settings and go to Control Panel. In the Control Panel window, go to Network Connections and click Wireless Network Connection.
Another way to do this is to click the Wireless icon in the notification bar at your desktop.![]()
6. The Wireless Network Connection status window will be displayed. Click Properties.
7. In the Wireless Network Connection Properties window, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
8. In the General tab of the Internet Protocol Properties window, tick the Obtain IP address automatically and the Obtain DNS server address automatically radio buttons.
9. In the Alternate Configuration tab, tick the Automatic Private IP address radio button. Click OK.
Click OK to close and save the TCP/IP settings. In the Wireless Network Connection Properties window, click Close.
In the Wireless Network Connection status window, click Close.
10. Check whether you have successfully connected by clicking on the Wireless icon in the notification bar. The window that will appear should say Wireless Network Connection (myWiFi) is Connected.
To make sure that you are connected, type ipconfig on the Command Prompt (DOS). IP Address for Main campus should be 10.2.X.X or 10.100.X.X, and 10.1.X.X for Makati Extension Campus.
11. Lastly, configure the Proxy settings of your web browser.
For Internet Explorer
a. Open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools and click on Internet Options.
b. In the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
c. In the LAN settings window, tick the Use automatic configuration script check box and type http://wpad.dlsu.edu.ph/ in the Address field. Click OK.
Another alternative is to tick the Use proxy server for your LAN checkbox, type proxy.dlsu.edu.ph in the Address field, and 80 in the port field.
Tick the Bypass proxy server for local addresses checkbox, then click Advanced.

d. In the exceptions field, type *dlsu.edu.ph. Click OK.
e. In the LAN settings window, click OK.
f. In the Internet Options window, click OK.
For Mozilla Firefox
a. Open Mozilla Firefox. Go to Tools and click on Options.
b. In the Options window, click Advanced. In the Network tab, click Settings.
c. Tick the Automatic proxy configuration URL radio button and type http://wpad.dlsu.edu.ph/. Click OK.
Another alternative is to tick the Manual proxy configuration radio button and type proxy.dlsu.edu.ph and 80 in the port field. In the No Proxy for field, type *dlsu.edu.ph. Click OK.
d. In the Options window, click OK.
If you still cannot access the Internet after properly configuring your WiFi and Proxy settings, contact the IT Help Desk by dialing 524 4611 local 316 or 466, or visit our office at Room 305 in Gokongwei Hall.

4. In the Security key or passphrase field, type accessingwifi and click Connect.
A window showing a message that says you are Successfully connected to myWiFi will appear. Click Close.
5. Click on Start and go to Control Panel. In the Control Panel window, go to Network and Sharing Center.
Another way to do this is to click on the Wireless icon
in the notification bar at your desktop, and click Network and Sharing Center. Click View Status.
6. The Wireless Network Connection Status window will be displayed. In the General tab, click Properties.
7. In the Wireless Network Connection Properties window, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
8. In the General tab, tick the Obtain IP address automatically and the Obtain DNS server address automatically radio buttons.
9. In the Alternate Configuration tab, tick the Automatic Private IP address radio button. Click OK.
In the Wireless Network Connection Properties window, click Close.
In the Wireless Network Connection Status window, click Close.
10. Check whether you have successfully connected by clicking on the Wireless icon in the notification bar. The window that will appear should say you are currently connected to manila.dlsu.edu.ph (myWiFi) with Local and Internet access.

Before proceeding, check whether your device's wireless switch is ON.
1. Click Airport icon
in the Status menu located on the upper left side of the desktop.
2. Click Turn Airport On.
3. Click Airport icon
in Status menu. Available wireless network connections will appear. Select myWiFi.

4. Type accessingwifi in Password field. Tick the Show password and Remember this network check box. Click OK.

5. Click Airport icon
in the Status menu. Click Open Network Preferences.
6. In the Network window, tick the Ask to join new networks check box. Click Advanced.

7. Lastly configure the proxy settings
a. In the Airport tab, tick the Remember networks this computer has joined check box.
b. Click Proxies tab. Tick the Automatic Proxy Configuration check box and type http://wpad.dlsu.edu.ph in URL field. Under Bypass proxy settings, type *.dlsu.edu.ph. Click OK.
c. Click Apply.
d. If your browser is Mozilla Firefox, follow these additional steps:
1. Open Mozilla Firefox. Go to Firefox and click on Preferences.
2. In the Advanced window, click Advanced tab
. In the Network tab, click Settings.
3. Tick the Use system proxy settings radio button. Click OK.
1. Tap Settings icon
on Menu.
2. Tap Wi-Fi.

3. Tap OFF to turn-on Wi-Fi.

4. Available Wi-Fi Networks appear under Choose a Network...
5. Tap myWiFi.

6. Enter Password screen will be displayed. Type accessingwifi in Password field.
7. Tap Join.

8. Tap arrow
besides ✓ myWiFi.

9. Tap DHCP.

10. Scroll up to locate HTTP Proxy. Tap Auto.
11. Type http://wpad.dlsu.edu.ph in URL field.

You can now start to access the internet.
1. Open the WLAN Manager.
2. Tick the Wireless LAN ON checkbox.
3. Go to Tools, select Network Card and go to Wireless. Click Add New.
4. In the Network name field, type myWiFi. In the Connects to drop down menu, select Work. Click Next.
5. In the Authentication drop down menu, select Open. In the Data Encryption drop down menu, select WEP. In the Network Key text field, key in accessingwifi. Click Next.
6. Uncheck the Use IEEE 802.1x network access control. Click Finish.
7. Configure your browser settings:
a. Back to the Start Menu, go to Settings, select the Advanced tab and click Select Networks.
b. In the Network Management drop down menu, select My Work Network. Click OK to go back to the Advanced tab.
c. In the Advanced tab, click Exceptions.
d. Click Add new URL and key in *.dlsu.edu.ph/*. Click OK to go back to the Advanced tab.
e. Go to the Tasks tab and click Edit my proxy server.
f. Check the This network connects to the Internet and the This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet checkboxes. Key in proxy.dlsu.edu.ph in the Proxy server text field. Click OK.
g. Open Internet Explorer and start browsing.

Note: If you have automatically been connected to myWiFi, skip items 5 to 10.
1. Go to the Main Menu.
2. In the Main Menu, go to Settings.
3. In the Settings menu, select Connectivity.
4. Select Destinations.
5. Select Access point.
6. On the confirmation message that will appear, select Yes.
7. Your phone will automatically search for available access points.
8. A list of available access points will appear. Select Wireless LAN.
9. On the list of available WLAN, select myWiFi.
10. You will be asked to key in a WEP key for WLAN. Type accessingwifi and click OK.
11. Configure the Proxy Settings.
a. Back in the Destinations menu, select Internet.
b. Select myWiFi.
c. Go to Options and select Advanced settings.

d. Select Proxy server address and type proxy.dlsu.edu.ph. Click the check button to save.

e. Click OK.
f. Select Proxy port number and type 80. Click the check button to save.

g. Click OK.
h. Go to Options and click Exit to go back to the Main Menu.
i. Go to Internet and start browsing.
1. In the Main Menu, go to Connectivity.
2. In the Connectivity Menu, select WLAN wizard.
3. On the list of available access points, select myWiFi and go to Options.
4. Select Define access point.
5. You will be asked to key in a WEP key for WLAN. Type accessingwifi and click OK.
6. Configure the Proxy Settings.
a. Back in the WLAN wizard, select myWiFi and go to Options.
b. Select Edit access point.
c. Go to Options and select Advanced settings.
d. In the Proxy server address field, type proxy.dlsu.edu.ph.
e. In the Proxy port number field, type 80.
f. Go back to the Main Menu.
g. From the Main Menu, go to Web and start browsing.
